Good news everypony!

Good news everypony!

We have secured a venue and time for the Exhibition! *fangirl squeal* So here we go!

We will have the event March 15-16, 2013 at the Marlborough Community Centre in Calgary! The address for the hall is 636 Marlborough Way NE, Calgary, Alberta! That being said, we now are going to start taking inquiries on vendor and artist tables. As well, we can finally get going on our big plans! Thus, we would like to remind everypony to work hard on the logos for our contest! We have a venue, so we just need a logo! Let's make this the best weeekend ever!

Have a wonderful spring day,

Sage Charge and Con Guy

  1. Hey hey, was at the "My Little Brony" gathering at Otafest today and you said to fire some suggestions as to what we'd like to see at the con soooooo I'm going to go ahead a shoot some stuff off the top of my head.

Panels would be nice, but I guess that's kinda contingent on guests. But it doesn't have to be only dependent on snagging cast members/writers (personally, would love it if you pursued some writers though, they don't really get the time in the spotlight they deserve for stuff like this), but you could also have local Brony artists, Brony musicians (local and otherwise...Sim Gretina, jus' sayin') and whatnot talking about their creative processes, tips and tricks, whatever. Basically, anything that gets Bronies networking with other creative Bronies would be awesome.

Some concert element would be cool, the larger cons (Everfree, BronyCon, that proposed one in LA) are doing that sort of thing, so if that could come together that would be stellar. That may require additional venue space and stuff though, so maybe put a pin in that until 2014.

Some means of having Bronies tell their stories? I dunno, just at the panel tonight the "how did you become a Brony?" bit was interesting but kind of disorganized. Just some guided, conversational element would be neat. I guess you'd see splinter groups happening but something that could really capture the group's interest and allow them to share. Like a discussion-based university class on the subject...this may be outside the scope of the con.

Well, that's all I can really think of for now. Oh wait, by the time this happens both "Fighting is Magic" and "PonyKart" should be out so I DEMAND TOURNAMENTS. Thanks, that is all.

  2. While I understand you guys have limited space, a panel of current bronies in varying stages of bronydom would be awesome, possibly, or maybe even a pony-themed dance - loaded with the best remixes and pony-inspired music. Also, maybe a PMV contest?

Anyways, I'd like to help out if I can. I'm really excited about this event, and would love to help make it a smashing success and guarantee a second one.
